Over the weekend, Gordon and I went to our local feedstore to pick up some chicken supplies. The cashier must have seen the giant “SUCKER” sign flashing directly above my head, because she started telling me about ten little kittens that had been abandoned at the store that morning. That’s right. Ten. Like an idiot, I followed her into the back and saw a pen full of tiny sleeping kittens. The feedstore employees didn’t really know what to do with all of them. So…now they’re in my house. All ten of them. Luckily Happytails, the no-kill shelter I volunteer with, agreed to allow all ten kittens to become Happytails kittens, as long as I could step up and foster them. So…now we’re fostering them. I’ll be blogging about them as they get bigger and start demolishing my house.
If you can, consider making a small donation to Happytails. They’re the ones who will be footing the bill for everyone’s spays and neuters.
Now, without further ado, I present…THE KITTENS!!!*
(We haven’t picked names since we don’t really have a solid bead on their personalities yet.)
*I’m wearing gloves because at this point we thought they had ringworm. Fortunately I was wrong! Also, NOT STRANGLING THE KITTENS, holding their heads still so we could take the pics. Kittens are SQUIRMY!
